If you've never been to Burlington, Vermont you need to make a trip. I went to college in this town and spent five summers waiting tables on Church Street. I loved it then and I still love it now. Church Street is a pedestrian only street, that runs about 6 blocks (I may be off on that one). There are street vendors, restaurants and shopping galore. It's got a really cool artsy, outdoorsy, college town vibe.
Burlington sits right on Lake Champlain, which creates the northern border with New York state. The views of the Adirondacks are beautiful across the lake. This trip up we spent a Saturday morning wandering around the Farmer's Market, on City Hall Green and stopped in to visit a friend that owns Hydrangea Too, just off Church Street. She suggested we (well really just me) check out this new fabric/yarn shop that had opened in the past year a few doors down.
Nido has a fabulous selection of fabrics and yarns and they also offer classes. Definitely worth checking out!
